Chaplain Brennan Francois

Chaplain Brennan Francois is the Pastoral Care Coordinator at the Georgia Regents Medical Center, Georgia Regents Medical Center Health Care System. He is a native of New Orleans, LA and is the proud father of 3 adult children and 5 grand children.

Chaplain Francois received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology with a minor in Biblical Languages from Southwestern Adventist University in 1982. He was ordained to the ministry in 1986. He began his graduate work at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan and was awarded the Master of Divinity degree in 2011 from Jacksonville Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Florida. He completed 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education in 2005 at the D. D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center located at Fort Gordon, GA.

Chaplain Francois’ work career began in 1982 serving as the associate pastor to the Keene SDA Church and campus chaplain at Southwestern Adventist College. He later served as pastor to the Ashford SDA church in Houston Texas before accepting a call to be the Youth Ministries Coordinator for the Greater Dayton Area and chaplain of Spring Valley Academy in Dayton, Ohio.

Chaplain Francois joined the pastoral care team at Georgia Regents Health System in February of 1995 initially serving as an on-call chaplain. Later that same year he was added to the full time staff. In 2009 he began serving as the Pastoral Care Coordinator for the department and is responsible for the scheduling of the full time staff as well as the on-call volunteers who support the department on nights and weekends.

Chaplain Francois is an accomplished orator and motivational speaker. He is a presenter at major conferences and events across the country. In addition to public speaking, Chaplain Francois enjoys traveling, playing scrabble, playing golf, gardening and spending quality time with family and friends.  God is the navigator of his life and he believes with God all things are possible. A positive, cheerful attitude is his daily companion and it is not uncommon to hear him singing as he goes about his work. “You can do it, oh yes you can” is the motto that motivates his ministry.
