Pediatric Hybrid Catheterization Lab
Pediatric Hybrid Catheterization Lab
The new Pediatric Hybrid Cardiac Catheterization Suite, located on the fifth floor of the Children’s Medical Center, offers state-of-the art resources for the diagnosis and treatment of children with congenital cardiac anomalies.
The new procedure room is more spacious than the previous room, and can be utilized for surgically assisted cardiac procedures.
Our Siemens Axiom Artis Zee imaging system provides brilliant images with low dose radiation exposure for both patients and staff. It utilizes a biplane fl at-panel detector system designed specifically for pediatric patients.
The ceiling-mounted lateral gantry can be easily moved for access to the head and neck or for surgical procedures if needed.
Workflow is improved by the integration of the Axiom Sensis recording of hemodynamics. Axiom Sensis facilitates bi-directional communication between our imaging devices and our recording system.
The physician workroom provides syngoDynamics workstations that manage the hemodynamic and cardiac imaging data from physician review to procedure reporting; and then from distribution to final storage.
The support space includes locker rooms for changing into appropriate attire for the hybrid Catheterization environment.
A wall-mounted television provides patient distraction and entertainment and education.
The pre-procedure and patient recovery area offers a comfortable, private environment with ample space for both patients and families.
The open nursing station is easily accessible for patient and families. The large window allows the nurse to easily check in on the patient while waiting or recovering from their procedure.
The nursing station provides a workspace for the Catheterization Lab staff to complete pre procedure education, track quality indicators for the Pediatric Cardiac Care Consortium and conduct follow-up care with our patients.
