Dr. Sword grew up in Statesboro, Georgia, where she finished high school. She then attended Baylor University for her undergraduate degree in Biology. Dr. Sword returned to Georgia to attend the College of Dental Medicine for her dental degree, followed by almost 7 years in private practice in Evans, Georgia. She began teaching part time while in private practice and felt called to full time teaching in the Oral Rehabilitation Department. She directs the Dental Anatomy and Occlusion course and participates in the pre-clinical Operative as well as Junior Clinical courses. Participating in international mission trips is part of her passion, and she has been able to travel to countries in Central America (Honduras, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic), South America (Peru, Ecuador), and Asia (China and Indonesia). She truly enjoys working with patients in her practice who represents many different cultures.
