Cervical discs
Cervical discs are soft tissues structures that act as cushions or shock absorbers between the cervical vertebral bodies. They are composed of an outer rind which is called annulus and are filled with a jelly-like substance called nucleus pulposus. Motion in the cervical spine takes place at joints which include the cervical discs, uncovertebral joints and facet joints which together comprise the cervical motion segment.
