Executive Wellness Program Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is the program covered by health insurance?
The Executive Wellness is a patient directed, voluntary program, therefore it does not follow insurance guidelines, or bill insurance. Payment is required at the time of visit. We do not file insurance, but are happy to work with you to provide necessary information for filing.
Q. Does Georgia Regents Executive Wellness conflict with my primary care physician?
The Georgia Regents Executive Wellness Program will not replace your primary care physician. The Comprehensive Health Assessment is a thorough preventive and diagnostic exam, which focuses on healthy living and risk factor reduction. Participants complete the program with a schedule for their periodic health maintenance, and recommendations for exercise and nutrition guidelines. A copy of your health plan and initial test results will be given to you on a USB drive prior to your departure. Final results and records will be mailed to you within approximately two weeks of your visit.
We are committed to assuring your most comprehensive care. At your request, we will provide your primary care physician with a copy of this summary as a resource and to be included in your permanent medical record. Georgia Regents Health System is available for consults for both you and your primary care physician, if needed.
Q. How far in advance do I need to schedule my appointment?
Please allow at least four to six weeks to schedule your appointment.
You can make an appointment by phone at 706-723-4478 or e-mail, [email protected].
Q. How long will the Comprehensive Health Assessment take?
For a new patient, your initial examination takes between six and seven hours, as we walk you through the entire process and collect a thorough medical history.
For a returning patient, please allow four to five hours. If your appointment requires additional tests, one to two additional days may be needed. You can learn more about additional tests offered here. For more information call 706-723-4478.
Q. What can I expect on the day of my examination?
Visits may vary, but for an insight into a typical day, please review sample schedules for men and women. These are estimates only. Keep in mind that appointments requiring additional tests or consultations may take 24 to 48 hours longer.
Q. What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring or wear a comfortable outfit to exercise in, your athletic shoes, and a copy of your most recent health evaluation. If you have had outside consultations or a radiological procedure, please bring a copy of the recent study and the physician's notes.
Q. Should I eat or drink prior to my appointment?
Please do not eat or drink anything except water, after 12:00 a.m. the night prior to your examination. On the morning of your examination you may take any regular medications and drink water, unless otherwise directed.
Q. What if I have specific dietary restrictions?
Our Executive Wellness Navigator will discuss your dietary limitations and preferences when you are contacted about your appointment. We will accommodate even the most stringent dietary requests.
Q. Is access to the internet available?
Yes, we have a computer with internet access in our Executive Suite, and wireless internet service.
Q. What is the cancellation policy?
We understand that you are busy and unexpected conflicts in your schedule are routine. If you must cancel your appointment, please call 706-723-4478 at least ten days in advance. We will reschedule you at the earliest time possible. Appointments may not be cancelled by email.
Q. What does the Executive Wellness Basic Program Cost?
The price for new patients is $2,500 and $1,500 for returning visitors. Your insurance card will be necessary for any additional medical consultations. If a prior corporate account has been established, your company will be invoiced based on the agreement.
Georgia Regents Medical Center also offers optional procedures. These additional optional procedures are not included in the cost of the standard professional service.
