If you suffer from sprains, strains, torn ligaments in the knee or shoulder, torn cartilage,  dislocations, tears or other athletic injuries, Sports Medicine Center offers quick, responsive care, preferring non-surgical options whenever possible. Your care will begin with a clinical exam by a primary care sports medicine specialists. If needed, he will refer you to our Sports Medicine Rehabilitation Center or an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine.

Montgomery (Monte) David Hunter, MD
is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in sports medicine. If your condition cannot be resolved non-surgically, you will be referred to Dr. Hunter for evaluation and possibly surgery. Dr. Hunter has years of experience performing both conventional and arthroscopic surgeries and offers the full range of sports medicine surgeries, from knee and shoulder arthroscopy to ligament and tendon reconstructions in the knee and shoulder.
