Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long will I be in your rehabilitation hospital?
    • Your doctor will complete your treatment plan within 24hrs of your admission as your team of professionals completes your evaluations.  The team will come together to discuss your plan at the admission conference. Your case manager will discuss with you the anticipated length of stay as determined by the team.  This date can change as you progress in your rehab.
  • How long will I be in your long term acute care hospital?
    • The average length of stay is 15 days but will be adjusted as patient’s needs and severity of illness dictates
  • Can my family/significant other stay with me?
    • Patients have the right to have a support person 24 hours a day as long as it is not disruptive to their overall healing.  Only one visitor may remain overnight and a bedside chair will be present in the room for this guest.
  • What are the visiting hours?
    • Patients have the right to receive visitors 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as long as it is not disruptive to their overall healing
    • Rehabilitation Hospital: It is recommended visitors plan their visits after 3 PM in the afternoon, and on weekends after lunch on Saturday, so our patients can participate in their therapy sessions during the day
  • Will I have a private room?
    • Rehabilitation Hospital: Some of our rooms are semi-private.  If you request a private room but one is not available, you will be admitted to a semi-private and placed on a waiting list for a private
    • Long Term Acute Care:  All rooms are private
  • Is smoking allowed?
    • To ensure the health and safety of our patients, visitors and staff, smoking is prohibited in all of our building and grounds
  • Is Parking Available?
    • Free parking is available
  • Is there a TV and phone in my room?
    • Yes, there are TVs in all of the room as well as the patient lounge and patient dining room. 
    • Yes, there are phones in each room.  
  • Where will I receive my mail?
    • Your mail will be delivered daily and should be address to:

  • Is there food service available?
    • All patient diets are specially prepared and delivered by our onsite Food Services according to doctor’s orders. 
    • Friends and Family may take advantage of our campus cafeteria open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  A snack bar, with limited hours, is located on site with menu items such as sandwiches, salads, chicken fingers, etc.  Also, vending machines are located in the hospital.
  • How do you ensure my privacy?
    • Upon admission, each new patient is assigned a four-digit identification code to help manage privacy and safety. Patients and families should share the four-digit code only with the people whom they approve to receive information about the patient by phone or in person.
