Resource Library - Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who may use the Family Resource Library?
Adults and children who are patients at Georgia Regents Medical Center, and the Children's Hospital of Georgia may use the center and it’s resources. As a part of our Patient and Family Centered Care  philosophy, family and friends are also welcome.
  • Will someone be available to help me find information?
Yes. Resource center staff members include an on-site librarian, family support coordinators, as well as volunteers, some of whom are former patients, or members of the patient advisory board.
  • I'm not comfortable using a computer. Can I still get the information I need?
Yes. There are several ways to learn at the center. If you need help using a computer, a librarian is available Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to assist with computer searches or access to cancer databases and Web sites.
  • Does the center carry information about community resources and other services?
Yes. We have information on hospitality/housing services, support groups, hospice care, and other programs for cancer patients and their families.
