Multiple Sclerosis Research
The Augusta MS Center is participating in several studies. Current FDA approved therapies for the treatment of MS include injectables used multiple times per week and/or monthly intravenous infusions. Research in the treatment of MS is growing at an astounding rate, with drug therapies including oral medications, vaccinations, and yearly intravenous infusions on the horizon.
Participation in clinical trials is an important part of developing treatments in MS. Clinical trials help to determine safety and effectiveness of new medications, and can be an excellent way for patients to help cover costs of care while aiding in the development of better treatments, and ultimately finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
If you are interested in participating in a trial, or for additional information, please contact the Augusta MS Center research staff at (706) 721-1411.
