2014 Summer Volunteen Program
Volunteer Services is now accepting applications for the 2014 Summer Volunteen Program. Volunteer Services has developed a program that will not only give our high school students, ages 15-18 a chance to give back to their community, but to develop new skills, and acquire the knowledge to work in a professional environment. Volunteens can also learn leadership and social skills as they interact with staff, patients and families, and other volunteers.
Volunteer Services is now offering five educational sessions. Each session will teach Volunteens the importance of providing great customer service, positive interactions, interviewing skills.
How to apply:
Interview
Candidates will be required to interview with a panel of Volunteen Board members to move forward in the application process. Interview dates have been provided below.

Acceptance Packet
Volunteer Services will notify all candidates who were accepted into the program. Each candidate will receive a packet. It is required for the complete packet to be submitted by April 11, 2014. The packet will include information on purchasing uniforms, badge form and Tuberculosis (TB) test information.
Orientation
All candidates accepted into the 2014 Volunteen Program will have to attend orientation. Volunteens under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Orientation will be held on the first floor of Children Hospital of Georgia, room BT-1810.
Orientation Dates
- May 8, 2014 at 5 p.m.-7 p.m.
