Stephen M. Clark, Pharm.D., BCOP

Stephen Clark is currently an Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – BMT at Georgia Regents Medical Center. He completed a PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Resident at Georgia Regents Medical Center and the University of Georgia in 2013. He completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, FL and his Pharm.D. at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill, NC. Stephen’s research interests include supportive cancer care, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and practice model/pharmacy services implementation.  He is a member of the Georgia Regents Pharmacy Performance Improvement (PI) Committee, the BMT Order Set Committee and the Hematology/Oncology Subcommittee of Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T).  He recently helped develop a program for outpatient administration of melphalan prior to inpatient autologous stem cell transplantation. He has published two drug reviews in the Journal of Advanced Practice Oncology as well as an abstract in Biol Blood Marrow Transplant and was coauthor on a report in Annals of Phrmacotherapy.  Stephen is a member of the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT), Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA), ASHP and GSHP and a without salary Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice for the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy.

Amber Bradley Clemmons, Pharm.D., BCOP

Amber is a 2009 PGY1 graduate of our residency program, who returned to Augusta as a full-time faculty member at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor for UGA in August 2011.  She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy, completed a University of Georgia College of Pharmacy Teaching Certificate during her PGY1 year at MCG Health/UGA, and PGY2 Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy specialty residency at the University of North Carolina (UNC Hospitals and Clinics), Chapel Hill.  Two research projects completed during her PGY1 residency and one research project during her PGY2 residency have been published in the pharmacy literature. Amber’s primary practice site is the Georgia Regents Medical Center Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and she also serves on the Oncology Subcommittee of the Georgia Regents Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. She is a member of the GRU Cancer Center, Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA), Georgia Society of Health-system Pharmacists (GSHP), American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP), and the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT).  In September 2011, she was recognized with the STaR (Southern Translational Education and Research) Young Investigator of the Year Award and in February 2014 she received the ASBMT Pharmacy SIG New Practitioner of the Year Award and in October, she was recognized as the Georgia Society of Heatlh-system Pharmacists as the GSHP Young Health-system Pharmacy Practitioner of the Year 2014.

David DeRemer, Pharm.D., BCOP

David DeRemer, Pharm.D. BCOP is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy at the University of Georgia (UGA) College of Pharmacy, PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency Program Director (RPD) and a Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant pharmacist.  He precepts students and residents in the GRU Cancer Center (oncology ambulatory care).  David completed his Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy (UKCOP) in 2002. Following graduation, he completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency (PGY1) and a Hematology/Oncology Specialty Residency (PGY2) from the UK Medical Center.  Following his residencies, he completed a 1 year oncology fellowship with emphasis in drug discovery and development at the UKCOP.  His teaching, clinical service, and scholarship interests include drug research, hematological malignancies, bone marrow transplant, and supportive care.   He serves on the Oncology Subcommittee of the Georgia Regents Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee as well as on the Oncology IRB. He is a member of the HOPA, ASHP, GSHP, and ACCP.  David was recognized by GSHP as the Georgia Health-system Pharmacy Practitioner of the Year in October 2012.

Arpita Shah Ghandi

Arpita Shah Gandhi, Pharm.D., BCOP

Arpita Shah Gandhi received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Rutgers University Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy in 2011. Following graduation, she completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a Hematology/Oncology Specialty Residency (PGY2) at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (Upenn). She completed a teaching certificate during her PGY2 year at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania/Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. After residency, she joined the pharmacy team at Georgia Regents as a Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice (WOS) for University of Georgia College of Pharmacy.  She is a member of Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association, American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation and American Society of Health System Pharmacists. Arpita’s teaching, clinical service, and scholarship interests include hematological malignancies, bone marrow transplantation, and supportive care in oncology.

Deidrea J. Parker, R.Ph.

Our Pediatric Oncology Pharmacist, Deidrea Parker, is a 1981 graduate of the Xavier University School of Pharmacy.  She joined the staff of the MCG Pharmacy in 1994 and since 1998 has been responsible for the 5th floor patients at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia (Hematology/Oncology and Pediatric Surgery).  She also covers the Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic, participates in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings for the Pediatric Oncology service, and is the pharmacist on the Pediatric Sickle Cell Committee.  Her prior experience includes work as a Clinical Pharmacist and Nutrition Pharmacist at Caremark Home Health and Northlake Regional Hospital in Atlanta, a pharmacy supervisor at Express Pharmacy (Birmingham, AL), and as a pharmacist at Mercy Hospital and Eckerds in New Orleans.  Deidrea is an active member of GSHP, COG (Children’s Oncology Group), PPAG (Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group).  Local service includes participating as a pharmacist member of the Georgia Regents Hematology/Oncology Subcommittee (of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee), Children’s Hospital of Georgia (CHOG) Quality Council Committee, and the CHOG Discharge Planning Committee.  She serves as a Preceptor for the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and the PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy residency and PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy residency for an experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and has also precepted a visiting PGY2 Oncology resident from another academic medical center.
